This book is hilarious. I was laughing out loud on the train while I was reading it. It looks like a textbook, and it’s just filled with hilarious tidbits. Did I say that it was hilarious?! John Stewart you’re my hero. Don’t miss how to name yourself if you are going to be in TV Journalism – (page 144). And the Study Guide in the opening pages. God it’s so funny.

This is another Joyce Carol Oates book. I have also read Beasts and am in the middle of some of her short stories.

Foxfire was so motivating. Seems like the author was part of the gang and right there when all the action was happening. I never know how to write good reviews of books, but I love her work and just bought a whole bunch more of her books to read. I felt so motivated to be a strong person because so many people (women) aren’t able to be.

I picked up this book because I can’t put down Joyce Carol Oates books. It’s about 800 pages long, and I could barely put it down. It says something on the book jacket about hallucinating, and I really felt like I was reading Norma Jean Baker’s mind. Now I’ve got to watch a whole bunch of “Marilyn Monroe” movies and read some biographies. This book NEEDS to be read!

I’m in the middle of reading the short story Breakfast at Tiffany’s (and other in the same book). Hope it goes well. I’ll tell you about it when I finish.

A month or so ago I read In Cold Blood by Truman Capote and it was another true-crime novel I guess I should say it was the ORIGINAL true-crime novel. It’s amazing how someone can report on a story with such detail but also be able to follow all the personalities and emotions involved. This is a great book.

I finally saw the Movie “Monster” and it was great. I know it’s odd, but I love reading murder mysteries and learning about the psychology of it all. I know it’s terrible to get entertainment from such terrible things, but I really am fascinated. I wonder if it has something to do with trying to make sense of what has happened to the people who are victims…

On a similar note I am also reading a book called the “Black Dahlia Avenger”. This book is so captivating. This story seems so unbelievable, but it’s amazing. I’ve been telling everyone they should read it. Another book I couldn’t put down.
