"H20, Hip Hop and Oxygen" – HBMS
I saw an amazing artist today at the My Plastic Heart gallery. His name is Jesse Hernandez and I was instantly drawn in to his work when I walked in the door. Those of you who know me will understand why the combination of Aztec imagery and urban graffiti look made my brain explode. Go see it! Check him out at Immortal Studios. Now I need to get a tattoo of this guy’s work some day.

I bought artwork by Damion Silver from Invisible NYC Art Gallery (my tattoo place).
So it’s that time again, tattoo time that is.
Part 1 (4 hours) 2/3 of the tattoo is done (outline, black and shadow outline to the left of existing center tattoo). Shout out to Kiku at Invisible NYC for doing an incredible job.
Part 2 (2 hours) Last third of the tattoo is filled in as well as the shadow.
… without a dope beat to step to.
Recently I have (in no particular order):
I am cautiously optimistic about many of the things on the above list, but excited none the less. I realized a strange thing recently… Most people I know tested thier limits and had thier fun in high school or college and then some make the predictable move toward responsibility and a grown-up life (whatever that is). I think the opposite is happening to me. I feel like I was much more serious when I was younger, and only recently have I been able to really live. Either way, I’ve been having a great time lately even when it makes me insane. It’s nice to feel so alive.
Recently a friend of mine broke his hip. At first I thought it was good luck that I had just taken photos of his extensive tattoos because he had to have surgery. He got a good surgeon though and the tattoo survived the insertion of a titanium plate and screws. Unbelieveable.
…and I’ve heard that Whitney & Bobby’s divorce is just a trick to get Osama out of hiding.
This weekend has been great. Jay & Lisa visited from Mass and I took pictures of Jay’s tattoos.
Then today my company played a game of softball at Keyspan Park in Coney Island. It was so cool – I will post a picture here when I get one. I am happy to say that I caught 3 fly balls for outs and I actually got to make a run in once. It was awesome. I am going to be so sore tomorrow.
